EbE Representative Role (Carers Group Facilitation Support)
We are looking for an Expert by Experience (EbE) Carer to bring the voice of lived experience to our carers group.

Duration: The main carer group will be aiming for 1 hour, with some flexibility. Initially the first session will be at Amberstone, but this could rotate around the other two community teams to be more inclusive. Total looking for 3 hours a month for the EBE commitment and planning and prep with staff etc
Location: Amberstone Hospital, Hellingly, initially with possibility of rotating around Eastbourne/ Hastings as part of being more inclusive to carers.
Main Purpose: To support the facilitation of a carers group based across the pathway. The group will be a stepping stone to Care for the Carers and a way for carers from clients using the services of Amberstone and the Community East Sussex Rehabilitation Pathway (Eastbourne and Hastings hubs). It will be a monthly group to offer a link with other carers using these services. there will be the option of inviting other people to talk/ provide information . Care for Carers representative will be attending along with named clinical staff to support the group and individuals.
Preparation & debriefing details: To be provided by the lead worker/team as and when required.
Relevance of lived experience to role duties: ESRP and Amberstone are part of the psychosis pathway and would require and EBE with lived experience of being a carer to someone who has a long history of experiencing psychosis/ schizophrenia. Someone with experience in running or taking part in carers groups would be desirable.
