Gardening Volunteer (Langley Green Hospital)

Langley Green Hospital has three acute mental health wards; two for patients under 65 and one for patients over 65. It also has one PICU ward. Patients generally suffer functional mental health problems such as depression, elation and psychosis and would usually be considered too unwell and/or at risk to be cared for in the community.

We are looking for a volunteer to help maintain the garden in between gardening groups. We have a contract for lawn cutting and hedge trimming. However, the we need additional support with the gardens to bring them to their full glory such as potting, growing veg, supporting patients in taking pride in the gardens etc.

If the volunteer would also like to join in with our group work to support patient engagement, that will be supported and can be worked towards following the correct procedures.
